New Hampshire State Employment Laws

The state of New Hampshire has restrictions on what can be reported in a background screening report beyond what the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) dictates.

RestrictionExplanation
Use of a conviction for a prior crime (including marijuana use) or non-annulled crimeThis is actually a restriction that users cannot consider. We are listing here because a CRA may or may not want to report what the end user is not allowed to consider. An employer may only ask an applicant: “Have you ever been arrested for or convicted of a crime that has not been annulled by a Court?”

See the statute here for more information.
