The state of Utah has restrictions on what can be reported in a background screening report beyond what the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) dictates.

Use of Social Media Password InformationEffective May 14, 2014, employers may not request employees or applicants disclose user names and passwords that allow access to their personal Internet accounts. The Act is known as the Internet Employment Privacy Act (IEPA)
